Return to the Motherland
JANUARY 1ST, 2018
Ocean swims, picnics, dancing, smashed avo, high pitch cackling, coffee dates, happy tears and sad tears, road trips, brie and laughing so hard you pee a little. My first trip home to Sydney in 3 years. The amount of love I felt from my family and friends blew my mind and filled my heart to exploding levels. It was so much harder leaving this time around. I guess because this time I don't know when I will be back again. It is comforting however, to know we will pick back up where we left off. So many things had changed yet it felt like no time had past when it came to reconnecting with my humans.
This time of year is always the worst, when everyone is gathering, celebrating and giving. For now, I have these photos to bring with them the smell of salt in the air, hysterical laughter of my girlfriends and the comfort of happy hour on my front verandah with mum and dad.
