Is the root of everything I do.
Jessie McNaught is a photographer, artist, and professional frolicker
currently based in Ucluelet. Her work spans from intimate portraiture and
wild coastlines to wellness retreats, artisans + architectural forms.
Originally coming from a fashion background, Jessie fell in love with film
photography while travelling, drawn to the way images could capture not
only how something looked, but how it felt. Her work now blends
environmental portraiture, feminine expression, and inviting atmospheres
to create imager y that feels alive.
Through her ongoing series see your nature, she invites people to
reconnect with themselves through nature, presence, and play. Inspired by
FernGully, tide pools, sparkles on water, and the magic of people becoming
more fully themselves.
I’m Jessie
I was born in Australia and now live in a tiny town on Vancouver Island, the furthest west you can get in Canada. Beauty led me here - slow, wild, breathtaking beauty. The kind that makes you pause. The kind that cracks you open. Rumbles and reminds you, who you are.Everything I create - film photos, writing, mixed media art - is an invitation to come home to yourself. To soften. To reconnect. To see your nature.
“Instructions for living a life.
Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.”
