SEE YOUR NATURE

I set myself free

from who I’ve been told,

I should be.

See Your Nature is an invitation to come home to yourself through art, presence, and the natural world.

What is See Your Nature?

It's part photoshoot, part frolic, part something I don't have words for yet. A remembering, maybe.

We go somewhere wild and secret and stunnin', and for a couple of hours there's no performing, no posing, no checking your phone or how you look. Just you. The trees. The light. Maybe some strawberries.

Everything is shot on film, which means you can't see a single image while we're out there. We just trust. We play. We follow the light and laugh a lot - and something shifts. Every single time, something shifts.

And then weeks later, when the scans come back from the lab?
The women I photograph always say the same thing.
I didn't recognise myself. I look free.

That's it. That's the whole thing.

Who Is See Your Nature For?

For the woman who longs to feel at home in her skin.
The woman who keeps almost reaching out and then closing the tab. The one who thinks she needs to lose weight first, feel better about herself first, deserve it more somehow first. The artist, the mother, the dreamer, the one who's been quietly wondering when it's going to be her turn to be celebrated. See Your Nature is not a reward for when you've got it together. It's a reminder that you never needed to get it together in the first place.

You are already it. Right now. As you are.

Why Nature?

Because nature doesn't perform. She doesn't apologise for taking up space or wait until she's ready. She just blooms, and sheds, and shows up in her full wild self - and when you're standing in the middle of her, something in you remembers that you can too.

There are no mirrors out there. No phones. No one watching.
Just the forest holding you. The light finding you. And me, with my camera, catching what's always been true about you.

Why Ucluelet?

I live at the edge of the world on purpose.

Ucluelet is where the rainforest meets the ocean, where the mist hangs in the ancient trees and the eagles trace the coastline and honestly every single day I cannot believe I get to live and create here.

Our locations are secret and secluded - hidden coves, fairy glens, windswept beaches that feel like they were made for exactly this. The remoteness isn't just beautiful. It's what makes you exhale. Really exhale.

Nature isn't the backdrop. It's the whole point.

Why Film?

Because not being able to see what we're creating is the whole magic of it.

There's no checking, no adjusting, no "can you take that one again." There's just trust. And presence. And the feeling of the moment - which is exactly what gets captured.

35mm film holds something digital can't touch. The grain, the softness, the way the light falls - it all carries feeling. When your scans come back, they don't just show you how you looked. They show you how you felt.

And the waiting - honestly the waiting is part of it. It becomes this slow, beautiful ritual. Anticipation building. Like something sacred is being developed. Because it is.
