A photo I hold close to my heart, not just because of its beauty, but because of who I was with when I captured it. Ucluelet reminds me of the small coastal town where my grandparents lived - Laurieton, in northern New South Wales. Each time I returned home to visit, we would frequent a coffee shop called The Boat Shed. You could get a latte, fishing tackle, and pellets to feed the brim over the café’s railing. The flash of silver, the burst of energy, and the spray of water from the fish always brought so much joy, especially to my grandfather - the fisherman.
