It's Time to Bloom

from CA$42.00

Tulips in bloom, captured in Ucluelet, British Columbia.

We lived on this land for 11 months. One of the biggest joys during this time was walking the garden each day to see what had bloomed overnight. I was drawn to the netting draping over the tulips like a veil, the ruffled edges of the flowers, layers upon layers, delicately and patiently waiting for their time to open. This capture was made on black and white film. It feels soft and romantic, mysterious and poetic.

Shot on 35mm film - grain and slight imperfections are the nature of this magical medium.

Printed by me in-house, on smooth fine art paper!
